How long have you been practicing?
I have been practicing medicine for over 20 years now.
What were the main points of friction in your daily life?
The main problem, clearly, was the lack of time. I often had the impression of being in a rush and having to speed up consultations, especially when they became a bit complex. This generated delays, mental load, and sometimes even the feeling of not being able to do a job as thorough as I would have liked.
What made Aldebaran the right solution for you?
What convinced me was the ability to anticipate the consultation. I gather important information even before seeing the patient. This allows me to avoid omissions, better prepare for consultations, and also more easily integrate prevention and screening topics.
How do you use it on a daily basis?
I mainly use it before consultations. Even before I start my day, I already have a clear view of the patients I am going to see, their issues, and sometimes even the level of complexity of the consultations. It also allows me to identify certain potentially urgent situations and, if necessary, contact a patient back sooner.
How has this preparation in advance changed your way of working?
Today, I feel like I arrive prepared, with a real mapping of the patient even before the discussion. This has completely changed my way of working and allows me to provide more comprehensive care, not just focused on the immediate reason for the consultation.
This helps me enormously with organisation and mental workload. Having a view of my day from the morning really relaxes me. There are much fewer unpleasant surprises and I can better anticipate complex consultations. Ultimately, this improves the quality of care, saves time and greatly reduces the stress associated with back-to-back consultations.
What results have you observed since using Aldebaran?
I have observed a clear improvement in the quality of consultations and, above all, a significant reduction in cognitive load. I feel like I have a medical assistant, or even another physician, who has already prepared the groundwork before me. This allows me to work more calmly, to avoid the feeling of overwork, and even to find pleasure in medical practice once again.
What feedback do you receive from your patients?
The feedback is overall very positive. Patients accept the digital tool well, particularly because the questionnaire is smart and adapts to the context. Many also appreciate the fact that the consultation is not limited solely to the issue of the moment, but also allows for prevention and screening to be addressed. This clearly enriches the discussions and improves the preparation for consultations.
