Could you introduce yourself in a few words?

My name is Wendy Nuvolara, and I am a prevention officer at CPTS du Pays-Haut.

How do you use Aldebaran in your practice?

For my part, I use the screening section. This tool lets me identify whether patients are up to date with their scheduled screenings. When a patient is not, I contact them to understand the reasons for the screening not being done (lack of information, access difficulties, apprehension, etc.). This step is essential, because it allows me to adapt my message and offer a personalized solution for each situation.

Have you implemented concrete actions thanks to Aldebaran?

Within our CPTS, we have set up partnerships with different organizations in order to negotiate dedicated time slots for mammography appointments. This allows us to better support patients while taking into account the obstacles they may encounter in their screening journey. Aldebaran is a central tool for identifying needs and optimizing the filling of these time slots.

How does Aldebaran fit into your area?

Our area is particularly affected by the issue of medical deserts, with around 18,000 patients without a primary care physician out of a population of 90,000 inhabitants. To address this situation, a questionnaire has been integrated into the unscheduled care units, which receive these patients or those whose primary care physician is unavailable. In this context, Aldebaran is a valuable tool for identifying patients who are behind on screening and offering them appropriate support.

What results or findings are you seeing today?

Previously, we observed a decline in participation rates for organized screenings, one of the main causes of which is a lack of information, often linked to the absence of a primary care physician. Thanks to Aldebaran, we can partly address this issue by going directly to patients, understanding their barriers, and making access to screening tests easier.

What role does Aldebaran play in your overall approach?

This tool is part of a proactive prevention approach and is a real support in improving access to healthcare in our area.
